1. Subscription cancellation

The proposed OUTCORA policy is that users can stop future renewal from their account or through support. Cancellation should prevent the next renewal; access normally continues until the end of the already-paid billing period unless mandatory law requires a different result. 2. EU consumer withdrawal right

Where EU consumer law applies to a distance service contract, a consumer generally has a 14-day withdrawal period from conclusion of the service contract, subject to statutory rules and exceptions.

If a consumer expressly requests performance of a service to begin during the withdrawal period, the checkout flow must capture the legally required request/acknowledgment and the consequences must be presented clearly. For digital content supplied without a tangible medium, loss of the withdrawal right is subject to specific prior-consent, acknowledgment and confirmation requirements.

3. How to submit a cancellation or withdrawal

4. Refund handling

Refunds, where legally due, should be returned using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed and processed within the applicable statutory timeframe. Any non-mandatory commercial refund policy must be stated separately and consistently at checkout.

5. Important distinction

Subscription cancellation, statutory withdrawal, termination for breach and refunds are different legal concepts. The final production wording must reflect the actual subscription model, when access begins, what is delivered immediately, and the checkout-consent design.
